I’ve been watching and photographing the Dippers on the river near Cilycwm for several years now. They are fascinating creatures, able, not only to fly at kingfisher speed, but also to hunt for insects under water. There are two nest sites near the two bridges here. The upstream one is actually underneath the metal bridge, and the one used by this pair is part way up a tributary stream. It’s good to see them together at the site, doing some courting.
